So the 2010 VMG Toys for Tots Fly-in was to Paso Robles this year. Despite
the weather, we had a little over 52 folks show up bearing gifts for the kids.
We also had the US Army drop in with 2 Blackhawk Helicopters and the guys joined
our Tri-Tip BBQ, sponsored by us. Thanks to the Paso Robles Airport
Association and to Art Pelino, who catered the event for us at no cost.
The weather forecast in the morning looked touchy, but the whole day was VFR
with a ceiling of about 10,000ft, so everyone made it in OK. We had planes
from Las Vegas, San Diego, and the San Francisco Bay Area for our long distance
participation.

Catering

Damp, but fun. No rain durng the event. We had the usual Mooney
hob nobbin' on the ramp mixed in with folks from the Paso Robles Airport.
Below you can see that everyone received some chocolates as a reward for
flying into the Toys for Tots on a damp and chilly day (smile).

We had some special guests fly into Paso Robles in non-Mooneys. Below
is a Broussard aircraft with some very passive passengers. And also
about a dozen crew from 2 Blackhawk helicopters that dropped in to join us
on their way up to San Francisco.

Everyone enjoying Tri-Tip, Chicken, and VMG Cameraderie. In the Lower
Right, we showed our Mooneys to 2 prospective Mooney owners. We told them
we would entertain a trade-in for a Blackhawk. No taker.

See you at the next fly-in!
