Back to Vintage Mooney Group Home Page Sedona, Arizona
April 26, 2008

Hosted by Phil & Linda Corman

Well 26 airplanes, 57 people and 1 Golden Retriever "Bailey" showed up to our fly-in at beautiful Sedona, Arizona!  All of the previous week, the southwest was covered in Airmets for moderate turbulence below 12,000', but on this day, the weather was severe clear and light winds at Sedona.  This made our landings at USS Sedona airport beautiful and graceful, at least for most of us.

We welcomed Mooniacs from Idaho (Ron Polley), Utah (Tom Bonacci and his sons Vincent and Joseph) and Texas (Dave Morris and Heather), with his beautiful M20A wood wing.

After our usual hobnobbing and tall Mooney tales on the ramp for most of the morning, we enjoyed a great lunch at the restaurant on the field and argued about whether the scenery surrounding us was a "postcard", "calendar shot" or a "work of art"!
