 June 14-15, 2008

Dear Vintage Mooney Flyers,

Welcome to our first Lake Tahoe, CA Fly-In scheduled for the weekend of June 14-15.  The Main Events are on Saturday as always, but this fly-in is special and we have informal things going on Friday evening and Sunday morning, encouraging people to spend the weekend.  If we get enough planes, we hope to make this our biggest fly-in ever.

Headlines: Mountain Flying Seminar, Maintaining our Mooneys presentation and Q&A, Modifying our Mooneys presentation and Q&A, Free BBQ Lunch, and more.

Thanks to Michael Golden of Mountain West Aviation and Tom & Mark Rouch of Top Gun Aviation, for co-hosting this fly-in in what we hope to be the largest gathering of Vintage Mooneys in the West this year.  As always, All Mooneys are welcome and even non-Mooneys.

Participants include:
  Mountain West Aviation
  Top Gun Aviation
Lake Aero Styling & Repair (LASAR)
  Tom Meadows, CFI

Thanks to all of these great people and companies for helping to put together a truly unique Vintage Mooney Group fly-in with the usual Mooney Ramp hob-nobbin, cool seminars and Q&A, and a lot of fun things to do.

There are a few options for ground transportation.  The resorts have offered limited shuttle service to and from the airfield for this event.  Car Rentals are another option, and probably the best option for us all.  Blue Go offers shuttle service from the airfield to Stateline for $3.50 per person.  They also offer service back to the airfield from Stateline.  Bicycles are also available, upon request.  And for the "uber rich", HeliTahoe.  Reservations for rental cars can be made through Hertz, Enterprise or Mountain West Aviation.
