Hello Mooney Flyers,
 Join
your fellow Mooney pilots for a trip to Jackson, California for the annual Gold
Country Fly-In. It all starts on Friday with a Wine Tour and Lunch at the
Lake, followed by Dinner at Sutter Ridge Winery.
Schedule of Events
Friday, September 5
11am: Bus leaves airport for wine country (20
minutes). Wine tasting and lunch at three wineries.
4pm: Bus returns to the airport
6pm: Cocktail hour reception at Sutter Ridge Winery
7-10pm: Private dinner at Sutter Ridge in the vineyard
6pm-10pm
Cocktails (6-7pm) & Dinner (7pm) at Sutter Ridge Winery
($50/person)
 Saturday,
September 6
All Saturday Morning: Get there early on Saturday to meet
new VMG people and to catch up with old VMG friends on the ramp during our
traditional Mooney Tale Tellin'.
8-10am: Pancake breakfast provided by Jackson CAP
9am: EAA Young Eagle flights, Amador Pilots Assoc.
9am-5pm: Live music by Bobby
D., Freezeout and the Darcel Hunter bands at the main stage
9am: 100+ hot rods and custom car show
10am-4pm: Food vendors all over the airport
10am: R/C training devices and flight simulators open
10am-4pm: "hangar theater" in Hangar 164 (16 Right)
11am-12: FAA "winter weather flying" class at Mooney VIP
tent.
Noon: Parachute jumpers over the field at 15,000 feet.
12:15-12:45pm: Airport CLOSED: Aerial exhibition from Gold
Country Flyers R/C club
1:00: Private BBQ lunch served at Mooney VIP tent
2:30: Awards, prizes and raffle
3:30-7pm: On your own
7pm till ???: Private event: Appetizers and libations, live
music, dancing and fun under the main tent. Open to all Mooney VIP's, Amador
Pilot Association members, event volunteers, EAA chapter members and invited
VIP guests.
